Situated in the characteristic Quarter of the Ancient Market and 400 metres from the main railway station, “Santa Maria Novella”. The hotel is well located for walking among the most important monuments and along the elegant streets, world-renowned for their chic boutiques and shopping in general. In the opposite direction, and also within walking distance to the Hotel Botticelli, are the Fairgrounds, including the Congress Hall and the “Fortezza da Basso”.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the station (400-500 metres)
- Leaving the station, take the exit near the Pharmacy
- Go straight, crossing the railway plaza where the buses stop
- Cross the street at the traffic light and walk right towards the McDonald's on the corner of "Largo Alinari"
- Turn left onto Largo Alinari and continue straight (the street then becomes Via Nazionale) for 3 blocks;
- Turn right on Via Chiara which leads into a square called Piazza del Mercato Centrale.
- Continue straight to the far side of the square and turn left into Via Rosina .
- At the end of this street (about 30 metres) you will see the hotel Botticelli directly in front of you.
BY CAR FROM A1 FIRENZE-NORD :
- at the exit "Firenze Nord" follow the signs for "centro" or " viali di circonvallazione"
- Once you are on these tree-lined avenues surrounding the centre of Florence drive to the Fortezza Da Basso (ancient fortress)
- Take "Viale Lavagnini" (follow the signs for Fiesole, Campo di Marte, Stadio) and after about 300 metres make a right at the traffic lights and enter a street called Via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria.
- Go straight to the second set of traffic lights and continue straight for a few metres, then immediately turn left onto "Via Guelfa", following the signs for "P Mercato Centrale"
- take the first right into "Via Panicale" and then the first left into Via Taddea.
- Hotel Botticelli is at the end of Via Taddea on the left.
